Getting Started – Default CPQ Configuration

Hey folks. We thought it might be useful to go through some default CPQ configuration that we always configure just after installing the package. These configurations are the things we do to every org we install CPQ into.

    • Add Related Lists under fields in Details tab
      • Set the Related List Type = Extended
    • Change the Template to “Grouped Header and One Region” and click next through and save.
    • Clone CPQ Price Rule Page Layout and set the new layout as default for all profiles.

  • Custom Actions
    • Go to the “Add Products” Custom Action and check the “Default” checkbox. This will cause the line editor to jump into adding products just after clicking “Edit Lines” on a Quote with no lines. It saves a click for the user.
